One thing that’s certain about research on this (or any) campus is that there’s a great mass of unknown work going on, some of which could be interesting or even vital, to someone else on campus, if they only knew about it. One remedy is coming up this Friday when IUPUI holds its annual Research Day at the Campus Center from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. IU School of Medicine scientist Loren Field, a pioneer in the field of regenerating heart tissue, will get things started with the keynote talk at 9:45 a.m. I talked with Field today about his research, look for a report on that later this week.
